Hot News: Writer Nguyen Xuan Nghia beaten in jail

Today, 4 September 2013, Mrs Duong Thi Tan and Nguyen Tri Dung, ex-wife and son of blogger Dieu Cay – Nguyen Van Hai, went to visit him at Prison Camp VI in the north central province of Nghe An. The meeting lasted about 20 minutes. Upon hearing Dieu Cay hurriedly saying that “Uncle Nguyen Xuan Nghia has been beaten by Tien”, all those guards attending there rose up and disrupted the conversation between Dieu Cay and his son. The guards said, “Do not speak of other matters.”
Inmate Tran Van Tien had reportedly been sentenced to life imprisonment for spying for China.
Writer Nguyen Xuan Nghia had been separated after announcing Dieu Cay’s hunger strike through his wife. The assault may be a sign of vengeance that Prison Camp VI keeps perpetrating upon him. His wife Nguyen Thi Nga is to visit him tomorrow.
Recently, many prisoners of conscience have been beaten such as Ms Do Thi Minh Hanh, Mr Phan Ngoc Tuan, Mr Huynh Anh Tri, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Cuong, Mr Paulus Le Son, Mr Nguyen Kim Nhan, Mr Do Van Hoa and Mrs Ho Thi Bich Khuong.

Hmm is anyone else having problems with the images on this blog loading?
