Dinh Dang Dinh’s Family is unified after receiving Decision of temporary suspension to implementing the sentence
To: • Benefactors in Vietnam and abroad .
• Embassies in Hanoi and international NGOs on human rights.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I’m Dang Thi Dinh, the wife of prisoner of conscience Dinh Dang Dinh. My husband currently suffers from terminal stomach cancer which has metastasised to his lymph nodes, being treated in room 101, Department of Palliative Care, E house, Oncology Hospital in Saigon.
At 21:40, Feb 15, 2014, An Phuoc Prison’s jailers came to my husband’s bedside reading Decision of temporary suspension to implementing the sentence for a term of 12 months.
Although he is entirely not exempted from the sentence which aimed at silencing dissident bloggers, we and our three daughters had burst in joy. We have opportunity to take care of him and friends can share.
Dear brothers and sisters,
Decision of temporary suspension to implementing the sentence for 12 months for my husband is a result of the relentless campaigns of all of you, human rights organizations, diplomats around the world. We heard of fifteen prisoners of conscience in the same prison An Phuoc with my husband had co-signed a petition to call for a complete release to him. Please receive our prayers for peace to all of them.
The fight against fatal disease is still ahead, we do not know what to do except a hope that people pray for my husband overcoming deathly illness.
Our whole family wish all of you a good health and peace .
Wishing all prisoners of conscience be free soon.
